Episode 6: Slang and Catchphrases for the Ages

This week's topic brought back memories... especially the CB Radio craze!  I can remember sitting in my father's car in the late 1970s (I was 16-17 years old) and listening to the truckers.  Occasionally I joined in; my handle was "The Piano Player."

Here are a couple of trivia questions about specific CB Radio terms:

  1. Truckers used coded language to protect their locations.  What city was known as "Mouse Town?"
  2. What was a "pregnant roller skate?"

Answers:

  1. Mouse Town referred to Orlando, Florida (a Disney World reference).
  2. A pregnant roller skate was a VW Beetle.

Thanks for joining us and we hope you return for more Trivia for the Ages!
